Artist Statement

THE FENCE originated as a 1,000-foot photo installation hanging along a walking path in Brooklyn Bridge Park. THE FENCE 2014 will be collaboration between United Photo Industries of NY, Photo District News (PDN), Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Flash Forward Festival in Boston, and Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) as we join forces to produce this unique site‐specific exhibition aimed at fostering conversations, and exploring new thematic directions in photography. This outdoor photographic exhibition invites photographers from around the world to explore and define the meaning of community across cultural boundaries and geographical lines.
