Artist Statement

A/V Radio is an independent, off-the-grid radio station located in Atlanta, GA, and broadcasting globally. It is a freeform, uncensored platform for musicians and DJs to express their unique tastes that don’t readily exist in mainstream radio.

All content can be experienced via speakers on The BeltLine, the A/V Radio website, or an app where you can not only hear the music but can see the DJs in the booth and chat with them live.

Content will be broadcast from a shipping container on the Atlanta BeltLine, under the Freedom Parkway Bridge next to Old Fourth Ward Skatepark.

Check the website to find out what DJs are lined up.

Artist Bio

Ree de la Vega is a lifelong music fan, following in her father’s footsteps as a vinyl enthusiast and collector. An Atlanta resident for over two decades, she’s transitioned from nightlife lover to highly sought-after promoter and DJ for numerous inclusive, non-conformist events nationwide. Whether DJing or producing her events, Ree always celebrates LGBTQ and feminist issues and brings a signature energy to every project she’s involved with. This culminated with the founding of Chaka Khan Hacienda, Creative Loafing’s 2018 weekly party of the year.

“I stand committed to creating vibrant, inclusive spaces for communities and individuals to make personal and professional connections while freely expressing themselves.” – Ree de la Vega
