Through access to public space for art installations we will enhance awareness of the diversity of indigenous nations and artists.

 

Artist Bio

The Indigenous Walls Project is lead by Jared Wheatley who is a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a citizen of the Cherokee Nation holding a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management from Western Carolina University and a Master’s of Science in Economic Development from Northeastern University.  Our creative approach enables activism and community engagement by leveraging our network of contemporary native and indigenous artists to ensure that language and culture are retained and reflected into the next generation of our tribal communities and the settlers who occupy our ancestral lands. The mission of our organization is amplifying native voices and visualizing the diversity of our nations by engaging the public and allowing artist the utmost in creative freedom and support.
