Artist Bio

I have created outdoor sculpture for Art in Public Places, and several private collections. I have taught Art at the college level for about eight years, have a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, and many years of exhibiting art widely. My area of special focus in outdoor sculpture is the creation of sundials, ancient and modern-looking. They have educational impact, and are an interactive kind of feature, as they engage the passerby to notice the shadow patterns and observe the changes in documenting the time of day. The spectrum of light is a main concept in this sculpture and in my artwork. The sundial expresses the Photoelectric Effect for which Einstein won the Nobel Prize. The joys of science are of great interest when they touch on art and color, which we have tried to enliven here.
