Artist Statement

Bonfire is a progressive wheat paste mural using screen printed images depicting a sequence of a bonfire being constructed in order to create animation stills. Figures of children are applied in order to show the step by step movement of the motions of chores. This process creates two finished pieces: a large scale mural and a stop motion film.
