Artist Statement

The KOLOSSOS Bike Zoo brings larger-than-life parading entertainment to all ages. The tricycle propelled mini-floats depict an array of animals built from papier mache. Flanked by dancers, big head characters and parade props, the KOLOSSOS Bike Zoo comes to life as if it were a carousel of animals released into joyful freedom. KOLOSSOS is an inspiring and inclusive, mobile spectacle that transforms trash into a whimsical world of colorful Carnival to be enjoyed by all. Through eye-catching parade art, KOLOSSOS is raising environmental awareness and inspiring others to rethink the possibilities of their refuse.
