Artist Statement
Inspired by the likes of Keith Haring and Jean Debuffet, Hagerty draws inspiration from the space he works in utilizing his original and iconic symbolism to communicate his subject matter. Atlanta Flower Hedz, is a concept that both locals and tourists can wrap their arms around and enjoy.
Artist Bio
King Pig, the artist, is a native of the Northern Midwest. Spending his freshman and sophomore years of undergraduate at the University of Maryland, Munich, Germany, taught Daniel an appreciation of art and inspired the will to create it. Upon returning to the United States, he attended the University of North Dakota and graduated with a B.A. in Communication. He has practiced the arts by working in advertising and print in Atlanta, Georgia. Dan is currently president and creative director of Mercenary Graphics.
