Artist Statement

Moving between predetermined and spontaneous approaches, the artist may either begin with an initial concept or start out with no preconceived idea, seeking the right compositional arrangement and balance for the final image. For this work, he references paintings created in the studio. The forms and colors have been scaled down while leaving the overall picture plane at a large scale.
