Artist Statement

The city of Atlanta, in its lush landscape, has hundreds of deciduous trees that over the course of time incurred damage. This damage can either be caused meteorologically, by way of industry or by humans. There are trees that have been pruned in order to spare its life. “Prosthesis” is a semi-permanent installation that uses prosthetic tree limbs to help re‑arm the city’s tree line and provide hope for the displaced.
