Artist Statement
The My Dreams Project was born amidst the 2020-2021 pandemic, that took the world by surprise imposing social isolation in one hand, and intense interaction with your household on the other. This friction triggered a series of dreams, rich in details, calling the artist s attention. She then started to create visual records of these dreams, that are now ready to make Atlantans daydream.
Artist Bio
Agatha is a Brazilian artist, born in Rio de Janeiro and based in Atlanta. Passionate about art and technology, she holds Bachelor’s degrees in Computing Sciences, Photography and Fashion Design. After spending 12 years in the IT world, she moved to Amsterdam with her family, focusing on her motherhood and on further developing her artistic skills. She taught illustration at Amsterdam’s International School and freelanced for TV animation series, illustrated books got involved in her community. The artist arrived in Atlanta less than 2 years ago and fell in love with the murals on the Atlanta BeltLine.
