Artist Statement
Inspired by cloud shadows, the artist’s goal was to create a subtle object whose impact is in the shadows it casts. Suspended over the sidewalk, the delicate balsa wood flutters overhead, giving pedestrians cause to pause and experience a moment of pareidolia.
Artist Bio
Ana Maria Páramo is a visual artist and designer who works actively within the community on a wide range of interdisciplinary projects. She uses mixed media for the creation of digital and handcrafted material. Illustration is the backbone of her work, leading to and inspiring the creation of graphic design, installations, 3D renderings, and costume design.
