Artist Statement

Ludic Jungle is an architectural installation encompassing the idea of participatory sustainability and positing that by reclaiming and arraying one hundered detoxified railroad ties as a forest and allee of columns, we can both glorify Atlanta’s marginalized past and encourage and environment of play.

 

Artist Bio

Nick Kahler is an associate architect practicing at Lord Aeck Sargent Architecture in Atlanta an an artist in his free time. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 2012 with a Masters in Architecture after finishing a Bachelors of History at Davidson College in North Carolina in 2009. He is an eclectic, fascinated with architecture, art, urban design, history, philosophy, astronomy, film, and a plethora of other disciplines.
