Artist Statement
Looking Order is an architectural installation which uses mirror-clad columns in a linear and radial organization to examine the artistic dualities of sacred and profane, movement and reflection, and space and object during both daily and nocturnal experiences.
Artist Bio
Nick Kahler is an artist, intern architect, and writer. He grew up in Hershey, PA and Carrollton, GA. In 2009, he graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina with Bachelors of History and Minor in Spanish. He finished his Masters in Architecture at Georgia Tech in 2012 and now works at Lord Aeck Sargent and independently in his studio in Atlanta. He is an eclectic, working within the disciplines of architecture, art, urban design, history, and philosophy as both a designer and critic. He has shown work at the Chambers and Van Every Galleries at Davidson College and the Barbara Archer Gallery in Atlanta
