The Permanent Collection Overview

One of the core components of the Atlanta BeltLine is public art. We are infusing art with temporary and permanent public art collections throughout the city that serve to engage the community. Now and in the future, public art will range from commissioned murals and sculptures to features incorporated into our parks and design. Every year, Art on the Atlanta BeltLine showcases temporary works from local and national artists. Below is our current roster of art located on the trail year-over-year.

Location of Public Art Pieces

The Atlanta BeltLine features many diverse pieces of environmental art for art enthusiasts to enjoy. The artwork is conveniently located all around the Atlanta BeltLine corridor. Download our Art on the Atlanta BeltLine brochure 2012 with all of the temporary art locations (art will be installed by opening day, September 8).

Come out and make it your mission to visit each piece. Learn about the artists and the Atlanta BeltLine project in the process!

Word on the Street

“Art on the Atlanta BeltLine marries artists, neighborhoods, and the trails of the Atlanta BeltLine. The feeling of discovery one feels when out walking through this new public place and stumbling upon numerous art pieces is indescribable. By engaging Atlanta’s neighborhoods and dynamic arts community through a public art initiative, it gives the community a sense of pride and ownership of the Atlanta BeltLine which will have a positive impact on the city for years to come.” - Fred Yalouris, Director of Design for Atlanta BeltLine, Inc.

“While this project is clearly a testament to the Atlanta BeltLine's commitment to public art in Atlanta, I am most excited about the opportunity for some of Atlanta's emerging and lesser-known artists to participate in Art on the Atlanta BeltLine. The involvement of these artists and others is evidence of the inclusivity and forward thinking that the Atlanta BeltLine represents. - Chris Appleton, Executive Director of WonderRoot
